Catching up!

Kelsey finally had her first haircut! Hard to believe that she is 3 and that this is the first one- she was so excited for it, and had a great time doing it!
For cousin Gabby's birthday in October, we spent the day at Disney Studios.  The girls loved that we got to see Donald and Daisy together!

We had breakfast with the Little Einsteins.  June is one of Kelsey's favorites- this is the picture that she is bringing for show and tell tomorrow to school.

They have so much fun together!

Aaron loved Gabby's birthday party at Gymboree- as did Kelsey, I just could not get her  or Gabby to stay still enough to get a picture of them.
One of our favorite fall activities is to pick pumpkins with Bumpa!
Keley was very proud of the  carrots that she grew.  We were luck to pick them all last week before we got 8 inches of snow and lost power all week. That is the actual size of the carrot uncut- we planted them in May- I have to imagine that betweeen May and October something more than that would grow.  If that is the normal growth pattern of a carrot, the ones at the store mu 5-6 years old!
Aaron showing off his walking skills and very excited to do so!
Kelsey's first day of school from September.  She goes2 days each week and loves every minute of it! Her favorite parts are (in order): snack, checking out the other kids backpacks, and "music and motion" where she has learned to "gallop".

Another favorite  fall activity- appple picking.  Next year we will remember the we do not need 2 pecks of apples- we had apple overload- but she had so much fun picking them! And Aaron loved them too.

Classic fall picture! Glad I got this in before our  Halloween snow!

Aaron's Birthday and Halloween

Wow! Aaron turned one at the end of October! He is such a funny guy- always into something, especially now that he is walking around an able to get into everything.

He loved birthday cake! First time that he had anything like at, and gobbled down a whole piece, as well  as some ice cream to go along with it.
Even the plate was delicious! And he liked to open the presents too, though Kelsey did most of opening and the toy testing to make sure they were things that Aaron was going to like.

In searching through the camera we seem to have a lot pictures of Aaron's hairdos.  I did cut it once, but it looked awful, so now we are trying to figure out  how to hold him still enough to cut it again.

Kelsey had an "orange day" party school.  She filled me in the other morning that her teachers fix her hair at school a lot.  Hopefully they did this day too! Daddy can get the ponytails in, but she rips them out on the way in the car :)

The two kids dressed up for Halloween. And then Kelsey below.  She was very disappointed that someone thought  was dressed as moose.  She was a blue butterfly.  I see fairy/butterfly, but not sure about moose?
Aaron was a lizard.  His tail was pretty cute :)

Kelsey and Cameron out trick-or-treating.  She loved every minute of it.  She dragged poor Cameron around his neighborhood! She then came home and sorted out all her candy based "chocolate/no chocolate".  Daddy got all the stuff that was not chocolate.Kelsey went strong most of the night- but poor Aaron was beat!

Summer Fun

The summer is halfway over, and we have been spending a lot of time up in Maine.  Aaron has his obligatory lobster pajamas, and loves to be up at the beach, playing outside with Kelsey, going in the water, and a new favorite- bike rides.  Nick & I both got bike seats for the kids so we can ride them around now, and they both have a great time doing it. We've been trying to get a picture, but so far, no luck!

Kelsey was lucky enough to be the oldest one at her cousin James's birthday party.  She was very helpful- she helped him unwrap all of his gifts, and she also showed him how they worked! Aaron waited until we got home try on the party hat that Kelsey got for him.

Aaron has started enjoy eating yogurt and other things- he loves grilled cheese, cheerios and yogurt melts. Here he is in action- eating some yogurt and enjoying every minute of it! He refuses the baby food out of the jars (or the foil packets), but loves pears, apples, and other things that I cook for him.

He loves the beach- a few handfuls of sand typically go into the mouth, but he has been pretty good with it so far.
Relaxing in the pool on the deck- the ocean is sometimes a little too cool for them! And Kelsey below giving Aaron a big hug- she loves him!

We took the kids to the Animal Kingdom in Maine.  Aaron got to ride on a deer- not sure that was part of what we were supposed to be doing, but he had fun doing it! They had lots of deer that you could feed- Kelsey got a kick out of them running up to eat from her hand.
Uncle double-oh Samu also got into the action- feeding the goats with Kelsey.

Kelsey also rode on every amusement park ride they had there- hard to tell from this- but she had a wild time.

Kelsey is THREE!!

Kelsey turned 3 last week!
I cannot believe that she is growing up so fast. She wanted a crown to wear, so she opened that up first thing in the morning and loved it. She thought the princess paper was really great too.
She loved her balloons- she got three "3" balloons and a Dora and Diego balloon.

Here she is in the backyard posing for her pictures.  She is a total ham! She talks all day long from the time she wakes up until she goes to goes to bed.  The things that she comes up with are hysterical.

Here favorite thing was the little kitchen that she got- she has been playing with it non-stop! Her favorite part of it is the little phone that it came with- she takes the phone and walks all around the house talking to her "friends" and making plans.  She actually stopped mid-conversation with me, told me she was sorry, and had to go because her friends were on the phone and waiting for her.
She had a great birthday! And at the end of it all, she broke down in tears, then told me that the reason was that she "really liked being two, and wasn't quite sure that she wanted to be three".  Too cute!!

Aaron's Christening and Tulip Time

Kelsey and Gabby had a great visit over Easter when they came for Aaron's Christening.  The two girls were inseperable all weekend. They are so funny now that they can talk back and forth to each other, and they get along so well! (at least most of the time)
Pictures from Aaron's Christening with Aunt Jamie and Uncle Sammy.  Aaron behaved well at church.  Kelsey jumped so hard on the pew that she bit her lip- but didn't cry- so I guess that works  :).

Here are the first sign of spring- the Tulips that bloom right around Easter.  Kelsey kept a close eye on them each day until they were ready to pick.

And then she did!! Each day after work she showed me her "bouquet" that she picked for me- so cute! Lots of dandelions to add to the tulips- I think she likes those just as well!
Just a cute shot of Kelsey in her sunhat.

And one of Aaron- I agree that he is handsome!!
